This heavy, ornate necklace is my own interpretation of a wonderful gift I received from a family friend who lives in Istanbul. A variety of rich ruby red glass beads, including Vintage W. German Givre Crackle Glass and German Cathedral Glass, are strung with antique filigree brass, bronze and copper beads to created a luxurious feeling. Many of the unusual beads I used for this piece were purchased in the ancient bazaars of Istanbul during my travels to Turkey. Clasp and findings are antique brass and gunmetal. |
